Whole Foods
August 23, 2009

As crude oil reaches $73 plus dollars a barrel, we are again confronted with higher oil and gasoline prices. The Obama administration has agreed to lend or invest $2 billion dollars with Brazil to develop off shore oil reserves. How many jobs will we create for Brazil? Can you believe it? Here we are with 9.50% unemployment and we are creating jobs for other countries. This idea is so stupid that the Obamaites still can’t get it right. They really hate our domestic oil producers.

The most recent National Geographic, September 2009 has an excellent article on solar energy. It points out that in most places, the sun remains the most expensive source of electric power—“typically in the U.S. it costs several times more than natural gas or coal — which is why it still supplies only a fraction of a percent of our needs.” It suggests that coal will still dominate our electricity needs two decades from now and solar would still be a minor component. A chart of projections to 2030 as to our uses of nuclear, coal, hydro, solar, wind and biomass still show the preponderance of fossil fuels. Why don’t we include the need for “clean coal” as part of our energy supply and still search for oil domestically which we have available? Are you listening Mr. President?

The Democrats in California are as bad as the ones in the Senate. One of their proposals was to increase taxes on domestic California oil producers which failed to be enacted. This is their solution to increase supplies - penalize the suppliers.

The American people are not being fooled by the Obama health care proposal. The proponents assume that we are all stupid and cannot read. They are finding out that the typical voter understands that a socialist medical program dictated by “health czars” is not in their best interests. To illustrate how desperate the thugs of the left are, they are planning a national boycott of the Whole Foods grocery chain. The reason is that Whole Foods CEO John Mackey suggested that a massive takeover of health care was not a good idea. Do you suppose that the fact that Whole Foods is non-union is the reason? What happened to free speech? If you disagree with Obama’ agenda, the unions will go after you.
