The book, The Shadow Party, by Horowitz and Poe is an interesting exposé of the “Shadow Party” that is lead by billionaire activist George Soros. Soros’s net worth is over $8 billion as reported in Forbes Magazine. He shorted the British pound in 1992 and the British pound was devalued after the Bank of England ”threw in the “towel” Soros made $2 billion on his transaction that almost broke the Bank of England. His comments triggered a panic with the Deutschmark on June 9, 1993 and also with the Russian ruble on July 14, 1998. In May of 1993, Soros announced on CNN that he had a short position against the dollar. A French court recently upheld an insider trading conviction involving Soros on a buy and sell transaction of Societe Generale SA some 17 plus years ago. Some of Soros’ comments are the following: “America under Bush is a danger to the world” He also compared the Bush administration to Nazi Germany. Soros had survived both Nazi and Russian occupation in his native country Hungary. Hillary Clinton and Soros appeared together at a "Take Back America" conference in 2004. Soros champions many causes that Hillary trumpets: i.e. rationing health care, rolling back gun rights and extending the voting franchise to convicted felons. Soros condemns Bush for his efforts to spread democracy. Soros said to his biographer, “My goal is to become the conscience of the World." The Soros family, including his sons Robert and Jonathan are financial sponsors of Move-On and other shadow party groups. Bill Moyers is one of Soros’ closer confidants. Soros virtually “owns the Democrat party” and his agenda according to David Horowitz and Richard Poe has made the “Shadow party” unlike any in history and has become insinuated into the heart of the American system. The most recent episode by Move-On Dot Org and Soros was the full page N.Y. Times ad branding general Petraeus as “General Betray Us.” Soros has also financed Media Matters. Soros also has his hand in Americans Coming Together and the Association of Community oranizations for Reform Now. They were both sanctioned by the FEC commission for Fraud. Move-On led the charge to keep John Bolton out of a permanent seat in the U.N. Soros does not believe in victory in Iraq and states that “the war in terror cannot be won“. There is much more to say about Soros in his attempts to change America to his ways. Unfortunately, most of the Democrat voters do not even know how he controls their party.
