Catholics in Congress and how they vote on the Catholic Church’s moral positions.
July 25, 2008

A recent periodical entitled “ Scoreboard of Catholics in Congress” was sent to me recently and the results of this survey really stunned my perception of how Catholic lawmakers were voting on important issues of the Church.

      The issues were the following:

The above Bills pertain to the House of Representatives.

The following Voting Records pertain to the Senate. These are in addition to the above issues:

The various Sen’s and Reps were rated on how they voted on the Catholic positions. A matrix listed each Catholic senator and representative and those in favor of the Catholic position were given an X and those who voted against the Catholic position were given a 0.

Listed below Are many of our so-called Catholic senators and reps and their Scores:

The overwhelming majority of Democrat representatives and Senators voted against the Catholic position and the overwhelming majority of Republican representatives voted in favor of the Catholic position.

The most flagrant congress person was Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House. She was severly criticized by Fr.John Malloy of Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco for her pro-abortion, partial birth abortion stands and other anti-Catholic positions.

It is about time that Catholics in our country wake up and read about their representatives in Congress and their anti-Catholic beliefs and voting records on these important issues.
