Morality
The March blog will cover some past matters but will emphasize what
the nation’s problems are but not all new. Obama’s agenda is consistent with his definition of morality. A new study released February 1st
finds that abstinence education is effective in reducing sexual activity among youth while ‘comprehensive sexual education” was not.
Of particular note, students were significantly less likely to initiate sex with the abstinence-centered approach than any other sex education strategy.
Comprehensive sex education, during the last ten years, has received four times the federal dollars as abstinence education.
The Obama administration has completely eliminated abstinence education from the 2010 budget, a rash and imprudent decision that
jeopardizes the sexual health of America’s youth. Source of this information is from The Southern Cross, February 2010. This newspaper is the
official newspaper of the Diocese of San Diego. Obama continues to be on the opposite side of moral persuasion.
The student demonstrations at the U.C education system in regard to the 32% tuition hike recently is related to out of control defined benefit
pensions by union led demands. The Calif. Legislature assumed that investment returns in 1999 would grow at 8.25% in perpetuity.
More than 15,000 public employees have retired with annual pensions in excess of $100,000. In the last decade pension costs have risen
to 43billion from $150 million. This year alone $3 billion was diverted from other programs to fund pensions, including over $800 million from the
the U.C. system. The unions are getting their way and the students suffer. The students are blaming the wrong sources of the problem.
I have harped on the danger of defined benefit plans and the need to convert to defined contribution plans like 401(K) plans but no one wants to listen.

The governor of California, "The Terminator", continues to lecture us on climate change. The global warming law will likely lead to
modest job losses in the near future, according to a non partisan review
that bolsters a growing Republican movement to shelve climate
regulations until the economy recovers. This was reported
by the Associated Press. California’s global warming law was
signed in 2006 by the Governor who contends that it will
spur green technology jobs. The law requires the state to cut “greenhouse” gas emissions by 30% by 2020. Where is the
governor obtaining his information? I suspect that the liberal
Kennedy connection and family has his attention on this
fraud and we will all pay for it. A recent commentary in the March 2010
edition of Newsmax refers to Richard S. Lindzen, meteorology professor at MIT. He was the lead author of the 2001 report of the
intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The MIT meteorologist debunks Global Warming. Please check Google for information on
Professor Lindzen.
