Obama and his Military Health Proposal
March 31, 2010

The continual ignorance and bias of the Obama administration has shown its true colors again. President Obama showed his real opinion of the U.S. military when he made a proposal but later abandoned to require veterans to carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of opposition to his proposal. “Look, it’s an all volunteer force,” Obama complained. “ Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country,” Obama continued” I wasn’t asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try and help reduce the nation’s deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”

The immediate impact of Obama-care has already started to cause negative consequences to the business community: Verizon, for instance, has already informed its employees that insurance premiums will need to rise in the coming years and retiree benefits may be cut; Caterpillar has said new taxes will cost the company $100 million in just the next year; Deere and Co. said that expenses are expected to increase about $150 million due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; AT&T announced that they will take a $1billion first quarter charge related to the new health care law; Medical maker Medtronics warned that new taxes on its products could force it to lay off 1,000 workers.

Obama has pulled off another charlatan plan He announced today, 3/31/2010 that he would be opening up parts of the Outer Continental Shelf for offshore drilling. The reality is that it is just another telepromter event. His plan actually pushes back offshore drilling at least until 2012 and blocks drilling in the Pacific Ocean and parts of the Atlantic. He leaves off and limits those portions of the Gulf of Mexico where experts believe there is the most oil and gas. Source: americansolutions.com

I doubt that many needed jobs will be created in the U.S. despite the talk about JOBS. .
