Hilliary Clinton: Is she for real?
July 18, 2007

I am having a hard time finding reasons for voting for Hillary Clinton . Most of the people interviewed as to why they will vote for Mrs. Clinton give reasons like the following: Because she is a woman; She will get something done; We need to change course. What does she advocate?

I can tell you what she advocates based on her speeches and interviews and also what she does not advocate:
1) She has voted against drilling for additional oil reserves in the USA, in particular ANWR and off shore areas. Her stance gives more power to Venezuela, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. Canada is our biggest outside source.

2) She has voted against the 2003 tax cuts which have resulted in a great economy and huge increases in Federal tax revenues.

3) She has voted against reduction of the Federal Estate Tax.

4) She has embraced the theory that humans are the main cause for global warming and will consider no other possibility.

5) She wants to raise taxes on dividends and capital gains.

6) She has no idea as to what determines the price of our gasoline and wants to place an “excess profit” tax on oil companies even though it will not produce an additional barrel of oil.

7) Does not want to try and strengthen out Social Security by permitting private accounts for young people and is against eliminating the yearly cost of living increases which only weakens the system. Does not remind older Americans that there is no trust holding billions of dollars, only IOU’s.

8) Initially was for our Iraq invasion and even stated that Iraq was providing sanctuary and aid to al Qaeda but has sinced dis-owned her remarks.

9) Constantly chastises large corporations that employ millions and provide state of the art products and services to all of us.

10) She is in favor of abortion and condones partial birth abortion. She also blames everyone who disagrees on embryo stem cell research and gives no credit for adult stem research and umbilical cord research that does not promote destroying the fetus and that the two other types mentioned above have shown excellent results.

In summary, if someone can give me some substantive reasons why I should vote for Hillary, please let me know.
