Dear Ray:

Your article on the so-called "shredding of the Constitution" by the administration is a little bit "over the top" in my opinion. A quote from today's Christian Science Monitor sums it up: Charles Fried a Harvard law professor, "dismisses what he sees as a lot of huffing and puffing by civil libertarians amid precious little legal protection for such phone records. Nobody has made the case so far that this violates any law, he says. "What violations of civil liberties are involved? This is just an exercise in mindless labeling, trotting out the word and applying it to something you don't like." Just in case we are attacked again, will you criticize the administration for not connecting the dots? The Democrats will scream and holler about the incompetence of Bush if an attack ever happens. Personally, I have nothing to hide, do you? I think that Clinton was the first to authorize this so called data mining - Check it out.
